From 26 to 29 August 2019, five technical officers from the Mauritius Meteorological Services (MMS) attended practical training on meteorological instrument calibration at WMO/RIC Tsukuba as part of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Project for Enhancing Meteorological Observation, Weather Forecasting and Warning Capabilities.
The trainees practiced calibration procedures relating to pressure and temperature. The training is considered to have been successful and to have contributed to the mutual development of meteorological services provided by MMS and JMA.
